About Me
My name is Niels Snijder
I’m 38 years and i grew up in the northwest part of the Netherlands, where I developed a real connection with water and sea.
As a child, I often join my father on his journeys on the tugboat.
Inspired by him, I followed in his footsteps and
became a tugboat captain myself.
Currently, I work in the Port of Amsterdam since 2007,
assisting ships arriving and departing into the harbour.
In addition, I embrace exciting challenges, including conducting
seatrails and training to help others develop their skills
in the maritime industry.
I live together with Loes, and we are proud parents.
Outside of work, i enjoy traveling to beautiful places
and sailing with our little boat.
